Donald Hubbard is a graduate of Washington DC’s Georgetown University and the University of Notre Dame Law School.  Don took a sabbatical at the University of Kent in 1979, where he doubled as a disc jockey, and met colleague Amanda Thomas; since then has practised law as a trial attorney in Boston.  Stories from those experiences alone could fill an entire book - though some do end up in the popular column Don writes for a Boston newspaper.

Don is the author of The Heavenly Twins of Boston Baseball, The Red Sox Before the Babe, and Forgotten FourForgotten Four was released in the fall of 2009 and by the spring of 2010 was in its second printing, having been profiled on the popular US breakfast show, Live! With Regis and Kelly in October 2009.

Don is currently under contract with Triumph, a division of the publisher Random House on a book about the Boston Celtics and is also under contract with McFarland Publishing as a co-editor of an anthology concerning the desegregation of the Boston Red Sox.

A huge Red Sox and Patriots fan and once a competitive runner, Don continues to run in five kilometre road races around Boston and recently completed a marathon.  His wife is half-English and together they have two children.
